FAQ
What are crypto gainers and losers?
Gainers are the coins whose price rose the most over the selected period, losers are the ones that fell the most. The lists help spot where money and attention are flowing right now.
How is the list calculated?
We take the top 1,000 cryptocurrencies by market cap, keep coins with at least $50,000 of 24h trading volume and rank them by % price change in USD over the chosen period. Each list shows up to 50 coins.
How often is the data updated?
The lists are recalculated every hour. The 24h chart next to each coin shows hourly closing prices on Binance spot.
Why filter by top 50, 100, 200, 500 or 1,000?
Large caps rarely move more than a few percent, while small caps can double or halve in a day. The filter lets you compare coins of similar size and liquidity.
Is a big gainer a good buy?
Not necessarily. Sharp moves are often followed by pullbacks, and small caps with thin liquidity are easy to pump. Treat the list as a starting point for research, not a trading signal.
Why are volatile coins interesting to traders?
Volatility is where the opportunity is: a coin that moves 15–30% a day offers far more room for profit than one that moves 1%. Big moves usually have a catalyst — a listing, news, unlocks, a narrative rotation — and attract volume, which means tighter spreads and easier entries and exits. The flip side is the same size of move against you, so position size and a stop-loss matter more than the entry itself.
How can I trade ideas from the gainers and losers lists?
Common approaches: 1) Momentum — a gainer with rising volume that consolidates near its highs can continue; enter on a breakout or a pullback to support with a stop below it. 2) Mean reversion — an overextended move (e.g. +40% in a day with RSI above 80) often retraces; this is riskier and suits experienced traders. 3) Laggards — a strong coin among the 30d losers that stops falling can be a rebound candidate. In every case check the chart on several timeframes, the reason for the move and liquidity, risk no more than 1–2% of the account per trade and compare with verified signals on SignalTrack.
